The Jaecoo 7 is a five-seat medium sized SUV, that sits in the middle of Jaecoo line-up between the Jaecoo 5 Compact SUV and the large 7-seater SUV, the Jaecoo 8.
The Jaecoo 7 can be had with various engine combinations; a 1.6-litre turbo petrol (front- or all-wheel drive), a self-charging SHS-H hybrid, or a SHS-P plug-in hybrid.
The official trim line-up is Pure, Deluxe, Luxury and Black Luxury. Pure is the entry-level model, Black Luxury is the range-topping, blacked-out specification. All versions sit on a 4,500 mm body with a 1,865 mm width and 1,680 mm height, and official boot space for most models is 412 litres with the rear seats up, expanding to 1,335 litres when folded, the exception here is the standard 2WD petrol model which offers 500 litres (rear seats up) / 1,423 litres rear seats folded). You also get a generous seven-year / 100,000-mile UK warranty.
The petrol models are the simplest option with 2WD or AWD and slightly more generous boot space. The self-charging hybrid is the strongest everyday-efficiency option, an entry-level hybrid model comes in around £1000 cheaper than the petrol model making it an attractive proposition. The plug-in hybrid offers maximum efficiency, lowest running costs and is a great company-car choice, with the lowest CO2 emissions.
The cheapest trim in the range exclusively paired with the SHS-H hybrid (self-charging hybrid) powertrain.

Deluxe trim is a great option for a more extensive spec with additional comfort including a panoramic roof, 540° camera, powered climate seats and the big infotainment screen. Luxury is the premium everyday choice if you want AWD petrol or the PHEV. Black Luxury is the flagship model with a dramatic/unique look.
