Nissan has unveiled the all-new PIXO set for release in March 2027 on the 27 Plate.
The PIXO is a compact fully electric city car created specifically for around town driving. Positioned as a practical small car with charm, it expands Nissan’s electric line-up alongside the full-electric Micra and Leaf models.
Designed at Nissan’s offices in Paddington, London, the PIXO introduces a fresh take on the brand’s compact EV styling. ‘Cube-inspired’ proportions, clean surfaces and a confident stance give it presence despite its small size. Pixel-inspired lighting, a distinctive front-end signature and a playful “robot face” design insinuates that despite being an extremely practical city car, it is also fun.
The designers have also had fun hiding “23” geometric shapes (a nod to the brand “Ni-San” in Japanese). The cheerful theme continues with bold colours like Wonder Purple and Gear Blue.
At just 3,796 mm long and 1,790 mm wide, with a 2,492 mm wheelbase, 1,512 mm height and a tight 9.9 m turning circle, the PIXO is built for narrow streets, nimble manoeuvring, busy town-centres and tight parking. Inside, it will comfortably seat up to four adults. Independent rear sliding seats add versatility and flexible boot space, while class-leading practicality includes 18 litres of in-cabin storage and a best-in-class 356-litre boot (including 50 litres for charging cables) with the rear seats raised. Fold the rear seats and capacity expands to 1,221 litres.
A 27.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery (the first of its kind in a Nissan model) delivers up to 161 miles of WLTP range, covering everyday trips like school runs, shopping trips and weekend outings. A 60-kW front motor provides instant torque. Nissan’s One-Pedal technology lets drivers accelerate, decelerate and stop using only the accelerator, making it ideal for stop-start urban traffic. Advanced driver assistance systems come as standard, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Lane Departure Warning and Hands-Free Parking.

Every PIXO includes 50 kW DC rapid charging as standard, and it can charge from 15% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes. An 11 kW bidirectional AC system supports convenient home and workplace charging. Combined with the efficient LFP battery, this setup aims to make electric mobility straightforward for first-time EV customers.
Google built-in provides intuitive navigation, real-time route planning and seamless connectivity via a 7-inch driver display and the 10-inch infotainment touchscreen. Gemini AI assistance offers natural voice interaction for navigation, entertainment and communication. AI learning provides tailored preferences over time for a more personal experience. Face ID recognises drivers and automatically loads their personalised settings, and the MyNissan app lets owners manage charging and vehicle functions remotely.
The all-new PIXO combines distinctive design, genuine practicality, city-focused electric performance and modern connectivity in a package tailored for everyday around-town driving. With its agile footprint, flexible interior and standard rapid charging, it looks set to appeal to drivers seeking an accessible route into full-electric driving, it also brings a characterful and fun flavour to the electric city car segment.
