We are coming to the end of an era; Ford is ending production of one its most popular ever models the Ford Focus. As buyer demand and the best-selling new cars list is dominated by Crossover/ SUV vehicles, Ford is shifting its Focus (no pun intended).
The Focus ST-Line and ST-Line X Add A Sportier FlavourThe ST-Line models offer sportier styling including honeycomb grille, rear spoiler and sports suspension, inside they feature front sports seats with red detail stitching and alloy pedals.
The top spec Focus ST-Line X Edition features some notable upgrades over the ST-Line model including larger 18-inch alloy wheels, red brake callipers, privacy glass. Inside the St-Line X gets extras like partial leather/heated front seats, a larger touchscreen and a premium B&O sound system.
The Focus dipped its toe into the Crossover segment, releasing a Crossover-like version a few years back.
You can still purchase a very well-equipped new Ford Active-X Edition which offers more rugged styling like exterior cladding/wheel arches, larger wheels and higher road clearance/driving position.
In addition to Normal, Eco and Sport drive modes the Active X model adds two additional drive modes: Slippery (for ice, snow and slippery conditions) and Trail (for sand, mud & heavy conditions).
Inside the Active-X has a large 13.2-inch touchscreen with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay support for smartphone mirroring. There is also a premium B&O 10 speaker sound system, along with all the staples you expect in a modern car like Bluetooth, DAB radio and voice control.
For comfort there is dual zone climate control and front heated seats to keep yourself toasty in the winter.
There is also plenty of driver assistance tech on offer including front and rear parking sensors, automatic emergency braking/pre-collision assist and lane keeping assist/alert.
So, it may be your last chance to purchase a brand-new Focus, if you are in the market for a traditional mid-sized hatchback that is terrific to drive and practical, grab yourself what might be one of the last Ford Focus cars to roll off the production line.
