Skoda has expanded the Kodiaq range with the addition of the top-spec Laurin & Klement (L&K) trim, the L&K model adds a luxurious alternative to the sportier VRS model.
The new Kodiaq L&K variant is available with three engine options, a 1.5TSI plug-in hybrid with automatic gearbox that offers an electric-only range of up to 71 miles, it can also be had with 2.0 TSI petrol engine or 2.0 TDI diesel.
The diesel and petrol options are 7-seater models, while the plug-in is a 5-seater as some compromises were made to accommodate the battery that powers the electric motor. One other notable difference is the petrol and diesel models are available with 4-wheel drive.
Launched late 2025, the Kodiaq L&K is positioned above the existing SE L trim and as alternative to the sportier Sport Line and VRS models for those who want to prioritise luxury and comfort. This new top-of-the-range model delivers an extensive range of standard equipment, comfort and state-of-the-art driver tech.
Inside the Kodiaq L&K comes in either cognac brown or black leather upholstery, front seats have heating, ventilation and massage functions, even the rear passengers get heated seats. There is also some nice L&K branding, unique floor mats and other nice touches like aluminium pedals.
Other interior features include a premium CANTON sound system, a 13-inch touchscreen with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay integration and a 10.25-inch digital driver display.
Driver tech and assistance features include adaptive cruise control, a 360-camera system, parking assist and remote park assist which means you can even park the car while you are not even in it (requires MySkoda app).
Other driver tech includes lane keeping technology and Skoda’s semi-autonomous driver tech traffic jam assist, a system that can control the accelerator, brake and steering in slower moving traffic to avoid collisions for example.
