Nissan has unveiled its third-generation LEAF, the original and first mass-produced electric car. Built at Nissan Sunderland Plant in the UK, the new LEAF offers increased range and cutting-edge tech.

The almost futuristic looks of the LEAF are more than aesthetics; the sleek aerodynamic contours deliver a drag coefficient of just 0.25 meaning the 75kWh battery can deliver 4.5 miles per kWh in energy consumption.
The new model also offers charging improvements, a 50kW DC fast charger delivers a 10-80% charge in approximately 35 minutes. A home 7.4kW wallbox takes around 11.5 hours for a full charge, while a 11kW public charger take about 7 hours to achieve a full charge.
There are four trim-levels, the Engage, Engage+, Advance and Evolve.
The entry-level Engage includes 18-inch alloy wheels, inside there are twin 12.3-inch screens (infotainment and driver display), Nissan’s semi-autonomous Propilot driver assistance tech that includes features like automatic emergency braking, 360 around view monitor, lane intervention and blind spot intervention, the system can take control of various driver features to avoid a collision in multiple scenarios.
The Engage+ adds some additional enhancements, the dual screens are bigger (2 x 14.3-inch), heated front seats and heated steering wheel are added, there’s a wireless phone charger and additional driver assistance tech like glare-free high-beam assist.
The Advance adds a dimming panoramic roof, privacy glass, a head-up display, synthetic leather interior and power operated tailgate.
The Evolve adds 19-inch alloy wheels, a premium BOSE 9-speaker sound system, electrically adjustable front seats with massage function.
