The BYD SEAL U DM-I is a medium-sized SUV with a plug-in hybrid engine available with a 18.3kWk battery or a 26.6kWh battery, these have a full electric range of up to 50 and 78 miles respectively, 2WD and AWD are also available.
The BYD SEAL U DM-I offers excellent levels of standard equipment, a compelling price, a spacious cabin and a rotatable touchscreen which can be switched between portrait and landscape orientation at the touch of a button. There are three models available, all stacked with standard equipment, the range is mainly separated by drive type and/or battery size.
The boost model is 2WD and gets the 18.3kWh battery with a full electric range of up to 50 miles.
The Comfort model is again 2WD, but it gets the larger battery with a full electric range of up to 78 miles.
The Design model gets the smaller battery and AWD, due to the added weight of the AWD powertrain it has a lower full electric range of up to 43 miles.
